We post the house, people buy the house… and now we get to restore the house! In this episode, watch as we roll up our sleeves and get to work restoring a spectacular cheap old house that we actually posted on our Instagram feed, way back when! This felt like a full circle moment for us, and we could not have been more thrilled to have gotten to meet the Carrasco family through our shared love of their incredible house.

We absolutely loved the opportunity to help them find the bungalow they had always dreamt about in the great city of Albany, NY. Kalindi + Ed gave us a challenge that we happily accepted: find the CHEAPEST of all cheap old houses! Their only request was that we decorate the house like a giant celebration. We took them seriously, and transformed one of the saddest (and yes, cheapest) old houses out there into a literal cupcake. “This is the cutest kitchen I’ve ever seen!” remarked Alison, as we toured her through the transformation of the giant cheap old house we helped her find for herself and her 3 daughters. Big houses require big risks, and we took a fun one in painting the exterior 11 colors, to bring it back to its original design. The series finale promises to deliver fun, magic, cheap things, and yes, a really stinking cute kitchen.
